Brainstorming
Some ideas about what could be in the game.
Social
For advanced social support, a user login is required to identify people.
- When chatting, a textbubble appears above your ship -> You can only talk to those arround you? Or Talk to everyone in a non-gameworld gui.
- Add other players to ones friend list.
- See friends/foes/Neutrals? on radar
- Players able to customize ships.
- Killing other players
- Helping other players.
Controls
What the player is able to do in the game world
- Only able to apply thrusters in X seconds, then recharge?
- Timewarp functionality, when activating, the player will get back to the position he/she was one second ago.
- Cooldown and heating of weapons
- Speed booster, for very fast movements?
Achievements
Makes the player happy.
- Slingshot achievement, You have made 3 consequtive slingshots (withing some time, or no thrusters of…)
u9's ideas
- Of course you should be able to land on planets for refueling or something.
- Check out Fat Princess on PS3… good inspiration for this game.
What if's?
- What is space bomber was 3D?

Sounds great, especially the timewarp thing. I have never seen a game with that!
Mr Glasses… What if space bomber was 3D? How would you see the gameplay? Like a Mario Galaxy kinda view and environment? Or do you have a different idea? I had a talk with a game designer about this idea too. I would love to hear your thoughts.
That would be pretty neat if Spacebomber was 3D. Although I think it should stay 2D (even if it is for my selfish reason of being able to understand the source :P).
That's a good point. It would be tricky esp. with out of perportion ships and structures. I'll brood for a while.
Here's an idea: social abilities.
Something that only works in-game when two people are working together / near each other.
For example, getting near each other, and switching on the social ability, one player's ship morphs into a gun and connects to the other person's ship. This allows one person to fly and the other to shoot.

That reminds me of transformers… I like it!
